Joe is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional who is passionate about helping his clients pursue their financial goals.
Joe founded Harford Retirement Planners to provide objective advice and knowledge to his clients. By partnering with the nation’s largest* independent broker dealer, LPL Financial, Harford Retirement Planners has access to the resources of an organization with over 4,000 professionals.
It is his experience working with many individuals over the years from many backgrounds that inspired Joe to write his book, Decades & Decisions: Financial Planning At Any Age. He has also been featured in various publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger, Yahoo! Finance and the Baltimore Business Journal among others.
Joe, his wife, Jane, and their three children live in Bel Air, Maryland. Joe is active in the local community and volunteers his time with Found in Faith Ministries and The Success Project. On the rare occasion he finds time for himself, Joe enjoys cars, woodworking, cooking, and watching the Ravens.

Steve is invested in this community, having lived here for more than 25 years. He currently lives in Harford County, MD with his wife, Emily, their cat, Bear, and their five baby goats. When not in the office, you can typically find Steve cooking, outside gardening, taking care of his chickens or working with his hive of honeybees.
Having worked in the financial services industry for eight years, Steve leverages his experience from multiple firms to design the most appropriate strategy for each client. Prior to beginning his financial services career, Steve attended Towson University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in business management and human resources management. Following his undergraduate degree, he completed an MBA in finance from the University of Baltimore.
Mike is a Maryland native and a graduate of Towson University with a degree in Business Administration. In his final year at Towson, he completed an internship program for Joe and Jim learning about the field of financial planning.
He quickly was drawn to the profession since it was the perfect mix of developing relationships with families and his passion for personal finance. Upon completion of this internship, and graduation, he accepted a position with Harford Retirement Planners and has joined the team as a Financial Advisor.
In his spare time Mike enjoys following college football, playing golf, working on his car and is unfortunately a Washington Commanders fan.
Laurie attended Lebanon Valley College where she received her Business Administration degree. She is a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania and currently resides in York County with her husband, Michael and son, Trey.
She grew up riding horses and currently owns a rescued Thoroughbred. Along with the horse, she has two rescued cats and one spoiled dog.
Laurie previously worked in the restaurant industry where she enjoyed getting to know people on a personal level. She is motivated to help people succeed and excited for her new adventure with Harford Retirement Planners as a Client Service Associate.
Jim is a Baltimore native and a 1972 University of Baltimore graduate with degrees in marketing and finance. Jim spent 25 years in the packaging industry, selling for the largest food metal and specialty container company in the world. While there, he progressed to regional sales manager for the Northeast. Jim decided to move away from corporate America and help individuals and families directly in a new capacity.
Drawing on his finance degree and the skills he learned, Jim entered the financial investment/wealth planning profession. His second career began in November 1996, specializing in investment and financial planning for individuals, families and small business owners.
Jim brings valuable career and life experience to help improve the lives of clients. His passion is helping people and improving the lives of others.
He resides in Towson with his wife, Trish. Jim volunteers with the Towson Recreation Council. For over 20 years Jim has watched, cheered and coached his three children through various recreational programs and school activities. Soccer holds a special place in his heart and he has officiated many amateur, high school and collegiate matches throughout the area. He has since hung up his whistle and now spends time with his five grandchildren.
